radon testing is somthing that needs to be done with any home, but i would demand a radon test if your buying a house, radon gas can cause lung cancer (its the #2 cause). If the house your looking to buy has high levels of radon gas and needs a system put in, i would have the seller put one in or take the money for a system off the price of the house.

I agree since we are in an area with a high concentration of radon and many people do not realize that it causes more lung cancer than asbestos.
